Bridon Ropes FC to Launch Youth Section from 2026/27 Season

Bridon Ropes FC is delighted to announce that from the 2026/27 season, all Meridian Valley Youth teams will become part of our club structure and play as Bridon Ropes FC Youth. This marks a major step forward in providing a complete pathway from grassroots football to senior men’s football under one club identity.

The collaboration between Bridon Ropes FC and Meridian Valley Youth will begin with immediate effect, allowing both clubs to prepare together for the full transition into a single structure under the Bridon Ropes identity.

Chairman’s Comments

Club Chairman Mick Puszyk said:

“By bringing Meridian Valley Youth into the Ropes family, we are creating a single, united pathway from grassroots to senior football. Our mission has always been to provide affordable football for local children, and this ensures we can nurture young talent within the Bridon Ropes identity all the way through to adult football.”

New Soccer School for 4–6 Year Olds

As part of this partnership, Bridon Ropes FC and Meridian Valley Youth have launched a brand-new Soccer School for girls and boys aged 4, 5 and 6 years old, held at the Meridian Sports Club every Wednesday from 5–6pm.

The sessions are run by UEFA-accredited coaches, all of whom are FA DBS-checked, ensuring a safe, professional, and fun environment for our youngest footballers to learn the game.

This new programme ensures that children in the community can start their football journey with Meridian Valley Youth and Bridon Ropes, progressing all the way through youth teams, under-18s, development squads, and eventually senior football.
