Lee Roots

Manager

Lee Roots was appointed First Team Manager of Bridon Ropes FC in October 2023, bringing a proven track record from previous roles at Holmesdale FC and AFC Croydon. Known across the SCEFL for his tactical knowledge and player development, Lee has built a reputation for transforming teams with energy, structure, and ambition.

At Holmesdale, he oversaw a record-breaking 2021–22 season—securing the club’s highest-ever league finish, along with records for most points, most wins, and fewest goals conceded.

His teams have consistently earned praise for their organised, high-pressing style and emphasis on nurturing young talent.

In his first full season at Bridon Ropes (2024/25), Lee guided the team to a strong mid-table finish and a standout run to the semi-finals of the London Senior Trophy—marking the club’s best cup performance in recent years.

The team showed real momentum, including a winter unbeaten run and a notable improvement in defensive resilience and consistency.
Off the pitch, Lee has strengthened the club’s culture—improving recruitment, modernising the playing style, and building clearer pathways from youth to senior football.

With a settled squad and a solid foundation in place, optimism is high heading into the 2025/26 season, as Lee looks to push the club further up the table and challenge for honours.
