Bridon Ropes extended their encouraging run of form with a hard fought 1–1 draw at home to Greenways on Saturday afternoon, making it four league matches unbeaten and eight points taken from the last twelve available.

With the team continuing to respond positively under the club’s new management setup, there was another disciplined and confident performance against a Greenways side pushing towards the top end of the table.

The visitors began brightly and looked to dictate possession in the early stages, but Bridon settled quickly and began to grow into the contest. The Ropes back line stood firm while the midfield worked tirelessly to break up Greenways’ rhythm and launch attacks of their own.

The breakthrough arrived in the second half and it was a memorable moment for Abdulai Turay, who scored his first goal for the club. After a well worked move, Turay found space and finished confidently to give the Ropes a deserved lead and lift the home crowd.

Greenways responded by increasing the pressure and eventually found an equaliser from the penalty spot midway through the half. The visitors converted from twelve yards to level the match.

Both sides searched for a winner in the closing stages but Bridon continued to show resilience and organisation to ensure they secured another valuable point.

The result means the Ropes are now unbeaten in four league matches, with confidence clearly building within the squad as momentum grows under the new management team.

Next up for Bridon is another home fixture as the Ropes welcome Lordswood FC to SE7 on Saturday 28 March with a 3:00pm kick off.
