Bridon Ropes produced an impressive away performance on Wednesday night, securing a convincing 3–0 victory against Halls AFC under the lights at Princes Park.
With both sides looking to build momentum in the latter stages of the Southern Counties East League First Division campaign, it was the Ropes who settled into the match quickest. Bridon moved the ball well and controlled large periods of the game as they began to assert themselves.
The breakthrough arrived shortly before half time through a moment of quality from Anthony Skordilis. Picking up the ball near the halfway line, Skordilis drove forward and lost his marker before cutting inside on the edge of the box. He sent the defender the wrong way and coolly drilled his finish past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner to give Bridon a deserved 1–0 lead heading into the interval.
After the restart the visitors continued to dictate the tempo and their pressure paid off when Hassan Omar doubled the advantage with a well taken finish to put Bridon firmly in command.
Manager Uche Ibemere then handed a debut to Yedidja Kossi and the impact was immediate. The forward made a huge impression, scoring with his very first touch of the game to add a third goal and put the result beyond doubt.
Bridon saw the game out comfortably to secure an excellent away win and another positive result as the season enters its closing stages.
