Volunteer role with a weekly expense allowance
About Us
Founded in 1935, Bridon Ropes is one of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s longest-established football clubs and Charlton’s only non-league club within the National League System.
Our first team competes at Step 6 in the Southern Counties East Football League Division One. We are an ambitious, growing club looking to strengthen our first-team support staff.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a committed Physio, Sports Therapist or Sports Rehabilitator to join our first-team management team.
The role is primarily matchday based, covering Saturday home and away fixtures and occasional midweek matches. Responsibilities will include:
- Pre-match preparation, injury assessment and strapping
- Pitch-side first aid and immediate injury care
- Supporting rehabilitation and safe return to play
- Maintaining appropriate treatment records
- Communicating player availability with the management team
This is a volunteer position with a weekly expense allowance and offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience while becoming an important part of an ambitious non-league club.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a current FA Emergency First Aid in Football qualification or FA-accepted equivalent
- Is qualified or currently studying in physiotherapy, sports therapy or sports rehabilitation
- Is calm, reliable and confident working within a team environment
- Communicates professionally with players and management
- Has a genuine enthusiasm for non-league football and wants to become involved with the club
The appointment will be subject to the appropriate FA safeguarding and safer-recruitment checks. Bridon Ropes can assist with completing these requirements if they are not already held.
To apply, please send a brief introduction and CV to chairman@bridonropesfc.com. Applications will be considered as they are received.
