Bridon Ropes suffered a 3–0 defeat away to Lordswood AFC after two early goals left the visitors with an uphill task.
The hosts opened the scoring through Luke Adams in the tenth minute before Luke Kimberley doubled their advantage nine minutes later, giving Lordswood firm control of the contest.
Bridon worked to remain in the game and prevented any further scoring before the interval, with the sides going into half-time at 2–0.
The Ropes showed greater resilience after the restart and kept the hosts out for much of the second half. Lordswood were temporarily reduced to ten players when Adams was sent to the sin bin in the 76th minute, but Bridon were unable to find the goal needed to bring themselves back into the contest.
Substitute Tyler Sterling completed the scoring in the 88th minute, securing all three points for the hosts and rounding off a disappointing afternoon for the Ropes.
