We are looking for a Volunteer Social Media Manager to join us during an exciting period for the club.
Competing in the Southern Counties East Football League Division One at Step 6 of the non league pyramid, Bridon Ropes FC are Charlton’s only non league club. We play our home matches at Meridian Sports and Social Club on Charlton Park Lane SE7, just a short walk from The Valley.
This role is ideal for an undergraduate or recent graduate studying sports media, journalism, marketing or digital content, or anyone looking to gain practical experience within a real football environment. You will be embedded in matchdays and weekly club activity, working closely with the Chairman, First Team staff and players to help grow the club’s digital presence.
The role involves creating engaging content and helping develop our existing social media platforms, giving supporters an authentic insight into life at Bridon Ropes FC.
Responsibilities include creating and posting regular content across our social channels, matchday coverage including build up, team news and full time reaction, pre and post match interviews with First Team management and players, short form video content, graphics and behind the scenes moments, and helping shape the club’s online voice while engaging with supporters.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in football and storytelling, confidence filming and creating content on a smartphone, good writing skills and a creative eye, and a reliable and organised approach. Previous experience is helpful but not essential. Enthusiasm, ideas and consistency matter most.
In return you will gain real hands on experience at a competitive non league football club, access to playing yers, management and matchdays, content you can use for your portfolio, degree or future job applications, and the chance to make a visible impact at a growing community club.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
To apply, please email a CV and a short note about yourself and your interest in the role to chairman@bridonropesfc.com
