Match Report | Rochester United 4–3 Bridon Ropes FC

Saturday 20 December 2025, 3pm kick off
Rede Court Road, Rochester

The Ropes were left heartbroken in Kent as a 96th minute corner denied us a deserved result, despite a committed performance that saw us take the lead three times away from home against Rochester United.

We began the game on the front foot and were rewarded on 22 minutes when Landi Kurti struck to give us the lead, capping a positive opening spell where we moved the ball well and caused early problems.

Rochester found a response, but we continued to look dangerous whenever we broke forward. The sides went in level at the interval in a tightly contested first half.

We came out strongly after the break and restored our advantage on 51 minutes, with Shegs Akinwunmi finishing well after sustained pressure from the Ropes. Once again, the hosts replied, keeping the game finely balanced.

Our character shone through late on as Jack Church put us ahead for a third time on 76 minutes, a moment that looked set to secure a valuable away point.

Cruelly, the game turned deep into stoppage time. A corner in the 96th minute was swung into our box and eventually bundled home, handing Rochester all three points and leaving us with a result that did not reflect our effort or attacking intent.

Despite the disappointment, there were clear positives to take. Scoring three goals away from home and repeatedly responding to setbacks showed the resilience and belief within the group.

We thank Rochester United for their hospitality and wish them well for the remainder of the season until we meet again.
