Kent Invicta League

Gravesham Borough 0  vs 3 Bridon Ropes FC

Bridon ended the season on a high with a 3-0 win over Gravesham Borough the win securing 5th in the league.

Bridon new going into the game that a win woudl secure 5th but a loss could see Bridon finish 9th so the start was cagey and took 10 minutes for Bridon to find the fluidity in their passing. Once the team began to click it felt only a matter of time before the deadlock was broken as chance after chance was being created. The deadlock was finnally broken 5 minutes before half time. Taylor Bowley won the ball from the oppostition RB then drove into the box and produced a delightful pass into the path of John Woodcock who finished first time. After the break Bridon contained Gravesham and restricted them to long ball for most of the half but it took until the 70th minute to make the game comfortable with a well worked goal scored by top scorer Nick Dunsden. Chance after chance went begging to make it 3 but the third finally came with a few minutes left on the clock. John Woodcock had a strike at goal which fell into the path of Finley Chambers who calmely finished to secure the 3 points, 5th place and finish off what has been a very succesful season.
